USAFE Winds Aloft

The United States Air Forces in Europe Winds Aloft Woodwind Quintet is a premier component of the United States Air Forces in Europe Band. Based at Sembach Air Base, Germany, the five-member ensemble, consisting of the traditional instrumentation of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn, provides diverse sounds and styles making them a prominent chamber ensemble throughout Europe. They perform in a variety of environments, everywhere from the most intimate living room settings to concert halls. The Winds Aloft Woodwind Quintet continues to demonstrate excellence by performing for U.S. Military leadership, American ambassadors, foreign dignitaries, presidents, royalty, and various community relation events. In addition, they perform special programs for children throughout Europe. The ensemble's repertoire consists of a variety of music, including classical, jazz, Broadway, and a touch of ragtime. No matter what setting or musical genre, the music of the United States Air Forces in Europe Winds Aloft Woodwind Quintet continues to bring good cheer to audiences wherever they perform.
