Aviano Airmen perform fuel phase inspection
AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy --
Airmen from the 31st Maintenance Squadron Aircraft Fuel Systems flight performed a phase inspection on an F-16 Fighting Falcon at Aviano Air Base, Italy on Jan. 18, 2017. Maintenance crews perform phase inspections when an aircraft has reached a certain number of flight hours. The Airmen remove panels to expose fuel lines and examine the internal fuel line structure. Fuel tanks are removed and checked for deficiencies as well.
