U.S. Medics build field hospital
CAMP PEPELISHTE, Macedonia – Maj. Alvin Scott, U.S. Northern Command liaison officer to U.S. Transportation Command Surgeon General and a Defense Institute for Medical Operations instructor, teaches students from multinational partners about priorities to supply for a simulated response and recovery effort June 8 . This was part of the 2011 Medical Training Exercise in Central and Eastern Europe, or MEDCEUR 11, an annual, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff-sponsored regional and multilateral exercise, held in the spirit of NATO’s Partnership for Peace. CAMP PEPELISHTE, Macedonia -- Col. Charles Tedder, the American co-director for Medical Training Exercise in Central and Eastern Europe 2011, is interviewed by a local Macedonian television station during the MEDCEUR 11 volunteer day June 8. An annual Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff-sponsored regional and multilateral exercise, MEDCEUR is designed to provide medical training and operational experience in a deployed environment for U.S. and partner nations. The countries participating in this year’s MEDCEUR are Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia and Norway.
