Aviano Airman LEADs way to brighter future
Airman 1st Class Chase Ray receives a coin from Brig. Gen. Robert Yates, the 31st Fighter Wing commander, at Aviano Air Base, Italy, after it was announced April 26 that the 31st Security Forces Squadron's Airman Ray was accepted into the Air Force Academy preparatory school. Through the Leaders Encouraging Airman Development program Airman Ray hopes to be accepted into the Academy where he plans to pursue a degree in international relations and participate on the wrestling team. Tree planting
Tech. Sgt. Roy Hensley, 31st Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicle operations supervisor, and his daughter Kaylee, age 10, plant a tree in Giais Saturday. About 200 local and base residents came out to participate in the 21-year-old tree planting tradition.
