The equipment will support operations of the 492nd Fighter Squadron while deployed in support of exercise Immediate Response ’06 in Bulgaria. The purpose of this USAREUR-led trilateral exercise with the U.S. Army and Bulgarian and Romanian forces is to demonstrate the ability to rapidly deploy a tailored forward-stationed and deployed strategic reserve force. Biter

Staff Sgt. Justin Devaney, 31st Security Forces Squadron, instructs Nico to attack someone wearing a bite suit. The bite suit is made to withstand a more advanced bite without hurting the person in the suit. During “bite work,” the dogs are trained to attack when necessary.
