RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany--Gen. Tom Hobbins (left), U.S. Air Forces in Europe commander, attended a USO sponsorship appreciation ceremony here March 14 with Lt. Gen. In front of 400 wing personnel, 435th Air Base Wing Commander Col. Kurtis Lohide promoted two Airmen under the Stripes for Exceptional Performers Program, Jan. 20 on the Ramstein flight line. Promoted to the rank of technical sergeant was Aaron Caldwell. Sergeant Caldwell is a dental laboratory technician assigned to the 435th Dental Squadron. After receiving his stripes, the NCO joined a flight of 12 other NCOs and completed the wing run with Colonel Lohide. His promotion was effective immediately.

Promoted to the rank of master sergeant was Jimmy D. Scott, 435th Mission Support Squadron. Sergeant Scott is the NCO in charge of reenlistments and special action for the Military Personnel Flight.
