Recognition

AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy – Senator Ted Stevens from Alaska, presents Lt. Gen. Glen “Wally” Moorhead, 16th Air Force commander, with the Air Force Association’s inaugral Senator Ted Stevens Leadership Award during a visit here Feb. 20. The award recognizes a senior level numbered air force leader who has demonstrated exemplary leadership through exemplary performance, according to the Air Force Association. Senator Stevens was a pilot in the China Burma India theater with the “Flying Tigers” of the 14th Air Force during World War II.
