Combat Ammunition Production Exercise begins at RAF Lakenheath

Approximately 160 Airmen are deployed to RAF Lakenheath July 16-19, 2018, to participate in the inaugural Combat Ammunition Production Exercise. This exercise will train Airmen on the mass production of conventional munitions.

This type of exercise allows Airmen to learn in a controlled environment, bolstering unit interoperability and refining best practices.

Participating units include the 9th Maintenance Group (MXG), 9th Reconnaissance Wing, Beale Air Force Base, Calif., 31st MXG, 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano Air Base, Italy, 48th MXG, 48th FW, RAF Lakenheath, England, 52nd MXG, 52nd FW, Spangdahlem AB, Germany, 86th Logistics Readiness Group, 86th Airlift Wing, Ramstein AB, Germany, 422nd Air Base Group, 501st Combat Support Wing, RAF Alconbury, England, and the 913th Airlift Group, 913th AW, Little Rock AFB, Ark.
