The 48th Fighter Wing and 352nd Special Operations Wing conducted a Forward Arming and Refueling Point exercise at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England, April. 10.

The FARP program is a United States Special Operations Command capability that allows the execution of refueling operations in situations where the use of conventional fueling stations or air-to-air refueling is unavailable.

“Our mission is to provide worldwide responsive combat airpower and support,” said Lt. Col. Jason O’Brien, 48th Operations Group deputy commander. “Similar to aerial refueling, forward arming and refueling points expand our global reach and increase our ability to deploy alongside NATO allies and partners to secure sovereign skies, deter any adversary and strike when necessary.”
